How to find us

All roads lead to Rome. But only one leads to the Alpenhof Family Hotel in Maranza, South Tyrol. Here you can find the best solutions for an easy journey and a great start to your family holiday.

GETTING HERE BY CAR

You can reach us via the Brenner Motorway (A 22). Take the Brixen/Pustertal exit (or continue along the motorway until the exit for the Brixen/Pustertal highway) and drive 4 km towards Pustertal/Bruneck. Before the tunnel, turn right towards Mühlbach; 100 metres after the petrol station turn left towards Maranza.

THE LAST STRETCH

Once in Maranza, drive towards the church, then continue on for another 200 metres, turn left and continue on to the Alpenhof Hotel.

OUR TIP FOR TRAVELLING AT PEAK SEASON:

We know from experience that traffic jams can build up at the Sterzing (Vipiteno) tollgate during peak travel times on Saturdays. So we recommend that you take the Brennersee motorway exit (just before the Brenner Pass — about 33 km from Innsbruck). From there, follow the main road towards Bozen (Bolzano). You’ll go through several villages then you’ll see a turn-off into the Pustertal (Val Pusteria) about 35 km after the Brenner Pass. After about 4 km, turn right before the tunnel to the village of Mühlbach and then left towards Maranza. Once in Maranza, drive towards the church, and then continue another 200 meters before turning left and continuing on to the Alpenhof.

GETTING HERE BY TRAIN

If an easy and comfortable journey is what you’re looking for, then the train is the way to do it. We will be happy to organise a taxi transfer to and from the station for you. The nearest train stations are Bahnhöfen Franzensfeste (Fortezza) or Brixen (Bressanone). Fares are approximately € 60.00 per transfer.

Bus transfers from Milan/Bergamo (BGY) and Verona (VRN) airports to Bolzano run all year round and are reasonably priced.
